Take a Vote

If you leave your retainers in your hotel room on a paper plate on your unmade bed, and the housekeeper throws them away... who should be held responsible for replacing them?

A.  You are an Idiot.  Cough up the dough.
B.  You are entitled to some sort of re-imbursement.

OR

C.   Other (Please specify).

BTW, "You" is "me'.

B.

I think that it is weird that they are in your room when you're not there anyway.

Can I answer A & B?

B. Definitely B.

A. Just because when I was a housekeeper at a hotel, I didn't inspect things on used plates on unmade beds, or inspect things in the sink, or inspect things in the toilet, etc. Just threw away trash, and a paper plate on an unmade bed would seem a lot like trash.

one time, when I was in 7th grade, I left my overbite mouth guard thingy in a hotel in Italy. Do you remember those God-awful things? Secretely I was glad that I left it there, but I think my parents my not have been. So I wouldn't have asked for any sort of compensation, in fact if I was smart I would have paid the staff to take them, but that's just me.
